Position: GIS Analyst Location: Worcester, MA Tighe & Bond, one of the most experienced civil engineering and environmental consulting firms in New England, has an excellent opportunity for a Geographic Information Systems Analyst to join its' team in Worcester, MA. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience developing and maintaining municipal GIS data including parcels and utilities. The selected candidate will work in a team environment on a variety of GIS projects primarily focused on municipal data development and maintenance. Project work will include long term client focused data and system development assignments and short-duration requests from in-house staff and as directed by GIS Project Managers and Analysts. Candidate will be expected to work well in both a team-based, supervised work environment and independently depending on the work assignment. Requirements * Minimum of three years developing and maintaining municipal GIS data including parcels and utilities * Proficiency in ESRI GIS software, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) * Bachelor's Degree in GIS, geography, cartography, land sciences, computer science or related subject matter * Strong organizational and communication skills * Proven experience working in a team environment Ideal candidates will have a strong attention to detail, be enthusiastic, have a willingness to take on responsibility, and possess good interpersonal skills. Previous work experience/internships that show self-motivation and ability to work both independently and as a collaborative member of a team will be viewed as beneficial. Strong ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally is also an absolute requirement.
