Hi Kate-

The only state-wide, surficial geologic mapping available is the Goldthwaits’ 1950 publication http://ngmdb.usgs.gov/Prodesc/proddesc_42595.htm. An electronic (pdf) or  paper copy is available through our Public Information Center (603) 271- 8876 or [log in to unmask] Let me know if you have additional questions.

Subject: NH surficial geology GIS data

Hello all,

I am looking for surficial geology GIS data for the entire state of New Hampshire. I did see on GRANIT that mapping is underway at the 1:24,000 scale, and that a portion of the state has been finished (http://www.granit.unh.edu/data/search?dset=surf/surf167)

Does anyone know if there is a dataset that covers the whole state at this point in time, perhaps an older dataset at a smaller scale (e.g., 1:250,000)?

Thanks for any help!

Kate
