4-H Fair Meeting Information:
At the Fair meeting this week, we will be collecting canned goods and non-perishable food items to be donated in honor of Larry Augur who passed away in January. Larry, father to Farm River Gang leader, Colleen Augur was a long-time supporter of the fair.

Special Election being held on Friday Night:
Due to the resignation of the current Vice President, we will be holding a special election tomorrow night. Nominations will be taken from the floor. If you are interested, please let Emily or I know and plan on attending the meeting.

Annual Horse Sale at Storrs:
The Department of Animal Science is making a change. Due to the vast potential of the Internet and its ability to reach so many potential buyers, we will transition to selling UConn horses online versus an onsite auction. With the ability to market our horses to a larger audience beyond New England along with the endless resources to assist with online sales, we know we can do a better job of matching up our horses with an appropriate new owner/rider. We will be notifying our alumni and equine enthusiasts that there will not be an auction this year and we encourage you to share this information with anyone you know who might usually attend the auction. The UConn horse for sale can now be seen on our website here. Given the number of UConn, and especially Animal Science alumni who attend our horse auction each spring in Storrs, we will coordinate an equine related activity in the fall in conjunction with the annual fall CAHNR Cornucopia Event. Stay tuned for more details at the end of summer 2016. So stay tuned for more details at the end of summer 2016.
