The following message is sent on behalf of the Department of Human Resources at the Request of Melody A. Currey, Commissioner of the Department of Administrative Services.

Dear Connecticut State Employee,

The Department of Administrative Services has asked the University of Connecticut to survey state employees in an effort to learn more about the state workforce, how well the state provides support to employees and how the state could improve support to employees.

In a few days, you will receive an email invitation from the UConn Department of Human Resources to complete this survey. The subject line will read “Department of Administrative Services Survey.” We urge you to open the email and to participate in this important study.

All employee contact information is kept strictly confidential and securely maintained by the research team. The research team is not able to see the actual responses provided by you. The research team and anyone from the state departments will not be able to identify who provided any of the responses in the survey.

After completion of the survey, your contact information and any email communications will be deleted. The survey will be completed online via a secure website and will be completely anonymous. Only the aggregated group results will be published in a report. No individual responses will be reported. The report will be sent to each department and/or agency within the Executive Branch. The information collected in this survey will not be used to satisfy the University’s federal reporting obligations.

The questionnaire will take about 15 minutes for the average participant and the amount of questions depend on individual responses. You will not need any personal documentation or records to complete this survey.

Thank you in advance for your participation! If you have any questions or concerns about this survey, please contact the UConn Department of Human Resources at 860-486-8478.
