Subject: Iranian Literature Seminar: Shahnameh of Ferdowsi; The Epic of Kings by Iranian Cultural Organization of UConn (ICOU)

Dear all

The Iranian Cultural Organization of UConn (ICOU) is pleased to hold an Iranian Literature Seminar to honor the prominent Persian poet, Abolqasem Ferdowsi, and his masterpiece, Shahnameh; The Epic of Kings. The event will be held in UConn Student Union Theater on Sunday, May 1st from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. 

Lunch will be served at 12:00 PM and the event will continue with 

· Talks by Professor Sassan Tabatabaie from Boston University

· Shadow play by the Kingorama group: Zahhak; The Legend of the Serpent King 

· Remote speech by Professor Omid Majd from University of Tehran

· Theatrical solo performance by Deniz Khateri: The First King of Persia
