We are looking for an savvy technologist with an interest in community planning and a desire to help a local community, its people, and its staff by providing a wide array of support. The Town of Arlington's Planning and Community Development Office and GIS Office have designed a position to give an employee a wide range of experiences in complimentary topic areas while providing a great entry level opportunity to learn and grow your skills. We want to work with someone who can take a problem or request, understand the needs and opportunities, and craft a solution using GIS, data analysis and graphics tools, internet resources, or just simply their mind and a pencil. The projects will vary, the challenges will vary, the tools will vary, but the results will support staff initiatives and help get information out to the public so that they can learn about the place they live in and love. Local government is great platform for you to explore your passions and build skills, while assisting in the creation of solutions that can better the community.
