Are you interested in doing an internship? This email is to remind international students that ISSS will provide its first of five workshops this semester for students to learn about CPT and pre-completion OPT.  These workshops are for students with F-1 visas. J-1 visa students should come to ISSS during walk-in advising hours to speak with an advisor if you are interested to do an internship.

If you will do an internship before you graduate you need some time of practical training authorization before you may begin. If the internship is for credit, or to fulfill a degree requirement, you must get CPT authorization.  Students who will do an internship that is related to what they are studying, but not part of your degree program, must get pre-completion OPT authorization. Come learn about eligibility and how to apply!  You must register for the workshop in advance.  Sign up at www.icworkshops.uconn.edu > Pre-Completion Practical Training.
