ISSS Bus Trips Newport, Rhode Island Bus Trip (10/16/2016) - Newport is a beautiful seaside town located in Rhode Island (the smallest state in the U.S.) with many shops, restaurants, historical museums and mansions to tour. Visit the beach, walk the cliff walk, tour a mansion and be sure to visit the 26th Annual Seafood Festival at Bowen's Wharf - free admission. Cross Cultural Connections Sign Up for Cross Cultural Connections (deadline 10/05/2016 ) - Cross Cultural Connections partners international UConn students with native English-speaking UConn student volunteers. International student participants and UConn student volunteers arrange to meet for about an hour a week to talk informally about any topic they choose. This is a great way to practice English, learn about American culture, and make a new friend on campus. It is also a great way to make the most out of your time here in the U.S.!
