Based on the international bestselling novel by Patricia McCormick, and inspired by true accounts, SOLD tells the story of 13 year-old Lakshmi, who is trafficked from her peaceful, rural village in Nepal to work in a brothel called Happiness House in Kolkata, India. Through one extraordinary girl’s story, SOLD gives voice to the millions of children around the world who disappear every year.
