Dear international students and scholars,

Please note the following important announcements regarding the Thanksgiving holiday:

* ISSS will be open from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday, November 21 and 22. ISSS will close Wednesday, November 23 at 12:00 pm and reopen Monday, November 28, at 8:00 am. Please plan accordingly. In the event of an emergency, please contact UConn police (911 for emergency services, or 860-486-4800).

* ISSS A Taste of Thanksgiving: There are available seats remaining for Tuesday's ISSS Thanksgiving event. To attend, you must sign up at www.icworkshops.uconn.edu<http://www.icworkshops.uconn.edu> > "Events" > "A Taste of Thanksgiving". If you have already signed up to attend, but will not be able to attend, please cancel your registration for this event, so that someone else can sign up. There will be VEGETARIAN options this year.

* UConn International Christian Fellowship is sponsoring a Thanksgiving dinner off campus at no cost to students in Willimantic on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 24. Arrive any time from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. To attend please contact Ruth Hartunian-Alumbaugh at [log in to unmask] <http:[log in to unmask]> and let her know that you would like to attend. You can also contact her through WeChat (Ruth HAlumbaugh) or Facebook (Ruth R. Hartunian-Alumbaugh).

Most likely you will be allowed reentry to the United States, but you may be given extra scrutiny at immigration, or given temporary 30 day admission until you can supply copies of your immigration documents. If this happens, please notify ISSS by email and we will assist you on Monday.
