I’m new to FME, so bear with me. I’ve been using it now for a few months, and my experience has been really disappointing. Perhaps I’m doing something wrong, but my workbenches seem to come up with errors for no apparent reason after
running fine for a while. For instance, I had to update ArcGIS to a newer version because of bugs in that software, and my workbenches stopped working. I updated FME but that didn’t solve the problem either. After pointless efforts using FME support, I
just rebuilt the workbenches. I had them write to a file geodatabase, it ran great. I switch to writing to an SDE database, worked fine a few times, but I realized the resulting feature class had no projection defined, so I added that, the workbench failed.
Removed it and the work bench failed. Went back to a file geodatabase, worked fine, switch back to SDE, failed. I cannot figure out a rhyme or reason for these seemingly random failures. I was just wondering if others had the same experience.
