Meet with SUBOG! Monday, 1/23, 4-5 pm

On Monday at 4pm, the Student Union Board of Governors (SUBOG) will be in the ISSS lounge to hear from you! SUBOG is one of the major programming boards on campus. You may recognize their name from the Film Series that they offer on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights in the Student Union theatre, Snacking with SUBOG, or the many travel trips they offer throughout the year. Please stop by to tell them what events you would like to see happen, hear about events happening this semester, and win some fun prizes!

International Chat, Tuesday, 1/24, 3-4 pm

Come and meet with other international students and scholars for a group chat to discuss whatever is on your mind!  Coffee and snacks provided. Spouses are welcome.

ISSS Social Security Services Day, Wednesday, 1 – 3 pm

The Social Security Administration will be visiting ISSS to take applications for Social Security Numbers for students and visiting scholars who have employment. New students must have already checked-in with ISSS before applying. You must bring the following to Services Day: 1) a photocopy of your job or graduate assistantship offer letter, 2) your most current Form I-20/DS-2019 – original and 1 photocopy 3) a print out of your electronic I-94 (print from www.cpb.gov) 4) your passport, with 1 photocopy each of the ID page of your passport, and the page with your U.S. visa stamp and 5) Students only: a Full Time Enrollment verification certificate, which can be obtained from the UConn Registrar. Regional campus students can apply for the SSN at their local SSA office following the instructions on the ISSS website: http://isss.uconn.edu/social-security-itin/social-security-itin/ .

SSA will also take applications for students who require SSN denial letters for the purpose of applying for a CT Driver’s License or State ID.
