I had written some image processing scripts for a colleague using QGIS's Processing framework in python. They use some QGIS processing tools as well as some gdal code. The colleague is now asking if I could convert them so that they can be run from within ArcGIS. I know that ArcGIS has ArcPy, but I've never used it. Based on using standalone tools in the ArcToolbox I would expect that I should be able to find equivalents for all the QGIS tools (band math, etc), and then could use gdal code as needed to fill in any gaps.

Does anyone have any experience with this type of converting between frameworks, or have any suggestions about how to tackle this? Are my assumptions about convertibility correct?
