Sorry I forgot to send this out on NEARC-L earlier!
2:00 PM today
Presented by Jess Robinson, PhD, Vermont State Archaeologist
As part of an ongoing evaluation of the Vermont Division for Historic Preservation’s archaeological predictive model, Jess needed to assess pre-contact archaeological sites’ proximity to a select list of current and/or past environmental
features important to Native American communities. The process for doing this in QGIS was not straightforward, however. In this upcoming webinar, Jess will summarize the workflow he developed for getting these data, and then briefly discuss the importance
of these data for understanding past land use and for predicting archaeological site locations.
