Dear International Students and Scholars,

New England (Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine) is expecting a major winter storm starting early Tuesday morning through the early Wednesday morning. The region is expecting 10 to 20 inches (25-50 cm) of snow. It will not be safe to walk/drive on Tuesday. Please be sure to get any food/supplies you need on Monday.

Students who live off-campus should review tips from the national weather service to prepare for a storm: https://www.ready.gov/winter-weather You can check whether the University is operating normally at alert.uconn.edu.

If you are traveling for spring break in the New England region: Please be advised that public transportation may be cancelled. Peter Pan bus lines have already cancelled bus travel on certain lines on Tuesday. If you are flying, check with the airline on the status of your flight before going to the airport. Please make sure that you have a safe place to stay, and have access to food.
Thank you and stay warm! Spring is only one week away.
