Summary: The
Environmental Planner is a permanent, part-time professional position that provides specialized technical assistance via the geographic information system (G.I.S.) and administration/enforcement relating to conservation of land and protection of inland wetlands,

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in
land use planning or closely related field, such as urban studies, environmental science, public administration, or geography. Master’s Degree preferred. Two years of progressively responsible land use planning experience or an equivalent combination of education,
training, and experience in geographic information systems, data base development, statistical research that provides a demonstrated ability to perform the duties of the position.
Salary & Benefits: This is a 29 hour per week part-time position. It is a Wage
Grade 10 hourly position under the collective bargaining agreement between the Town of Old Saybrook and Local 1303-278 of Council #4 (AFSCME). The starting hourly wage is $25.88 per hour; annual salary is $39,027.
