Travel Grant Applications Due July 7

OSGeo is now accepting travel grant applications for FOSS4G Boston 2017. The Travel Grant covers a Full Conference Pass and an allowance for accommodation and meals/expenses. To learn more and fill out an application, please visit
https://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/FOSS4G_Travel_Grant_Programme_2017  Thank you to OSGeo and our private donors that made it possible for this program to be part of FOSS4G in 2017.

Workshops Update

If you have purchased workshops please don't forget to sign up for your workshops with your workshop codes.  Don't delay, as some popular workshops are now full (these are noted on the signup list).  Note: now that early bird registration is passed, workshops are available separately from conference registration (if desired, a person can sign up for only workshops).

Code Sprint Update

A Code Sprint to further the development of OSGeo projects will be held Saturday, August 19th at District Hall from 9am-5pm. Participation in the code sprint is free of charge and all people currently involved or interested in getting involved in OSGeo community projects are welcome.  You may participate in one or more projects.  There is always plenty to do - it's not always about programming.  Translation, documentation, feedback, discussions and testing are also very important for projects!  Plenty of room for more participants so please sign up.  Signing up will allow us to make sure to have ample refreshments.  Be a part of open source!

Welcome to new Bronze sponsors

  and  have joined as sponsors.

There is always room for more sponsors so consider the benefits of becoming a sponsor.

OSGeo Website Reboot

OSGeo's website redesign is a key initiative for 2017.  The website/rebranding will be highlighted throughout the FOSS4G conference at the OSGeo booth, presentations and most importantly during the code-sprint for training sessions with Get Interactive. OSGeo asks that projects and committees take part in this important activity.

With only 6 weeks to go before the conference, don't forget to Register!

FOSS4G is the annual global event of the Open Source Geospatial Foundation (OSGeo). Although widely recognized as the largest technical geospatial Open Source conference we call FOSS4G an "event" because it is far more than "just" a conference. A typical FOSS4G will include regular presentations and talks, but also code sprints, birds of a feather sessions, workshops, topic talks and of course social events.
