Dear colleagues and friends of stochasticity,

 
The Seminar on Stochastic Processes 2018 will be held on May 9-12, 2018 (Wednesday through Saturday) at Brown University, in Providence, Rhode Island. Apart from informal presentations by conference participants, there will be plenary talks by the following five invited speakers:

 
- Alison Etheridge (Kai Lai Chung Lecturer), Oxford, UK.

- Rami Atar, Technion, Haifa, Israel.

- Antonio Auffinger, Northwestern, Chicago, IL, USA.

- Fabrice Baudoin, University of Connecticut, Storrs, CT, USA.

- Mykhaylo Shkolnikov, Princeton, NJ, USA.


This conference will feature the eighth annual Kai Lai Chung Lecture, honoring Kai Lai Chung's Mathematical career. Kai Lai Chung was one of the leading probabilists of the second half of the twentieth century and one of the founders of the Seminar on Stochastic Processes.


The main conference will be held on May 10-12, 2018.


On May 9 there will be a special set of tutorial lectures and discussions targeted at early-career researchers. These research lectures will be given by


Gregory Miermont, Ecole Normale Superieure de Lyon, France.


There will be financial support to attend the conference.
