International Student and Scholar Services would like to tell you about some recent changes to our advising services - please read to learn how you can receive help with any questions you have!
Quick Questions: International students and scholars may visit ISSS Storrs during walk-in hours with quick questions, daily from 1:00 – 3:30 pm. ISSS Stamford and Hartford have different
walk-in advising hours- visit ISSS Stamford and
ISSS Hartford for details. During walk-in advising, international advisors are available to answer basic questions about working on or off-campus, CPT, OPT, driver’s licenses,
social security numbers, program extensions, travel, taking a reduced course load, and more.
Advising Appointments: For more complex matters, please make an appointment with your international advisor (for example, changing visa status, academic problems, health and wellness matters,
withdrawing from the University or taking a leave of absence). Your international advisor is assigned based on your campus and your academic program/degree level. To schedule an appointment with your international advisor visit the
ISSS Staff Directory and click the appointment link by your advisor’s name.
