LIGHTNING TALKS & POSTERS ARE STILL BEING ACCEPTED

Deadline: Monday, October 2

If you are interested in sharing information with your peers about an interesting project, analysis, website, product or service, please consider this as the opportunity for you! The NEARC Host Committee is still accepting lightning talks and posters for the Fall Conference! If you'd like to participate, contact us at [log in to unmask] or [log in to unmask] with the following information: Your contact information, Title of your poster/lightning talk, If you are a student or professional, Your abstract (maximum of 250 words), The author listing (name and organization only). Currently, the Poster Social is planned for Monday (Nov 6th) afternoon and the Lightning Talks are scheduled for Tuesday (Nov 7th) afternoon. Come and participate in one or both!

DESIGN CONTEST FOR FALL NEARC 2017 IN NEWPORT, RI

Deadline: Friday, October 13

The host committee is looking for a creative design for the conference attendee give-away (an insulated lunch cooler). Although there isn’t a defined program theme, the design should incorporate the location/sense of place and the NEARC logo. The imprint area will be approximately 8" W x 6” H and should be designed in one color (white) to appear on a color background. The winner will receive a cool prize, recognition at the Awards Banquet, and bragging rights. All submissions must be sent to [log in to unmask] no later than Friday October 13th.

RESERVE YOUR OVERNIGHT ACCOMMODATIONS

Deadline: Monday, October 16

Overnight accommodations are available at the Newport Marriott at a discounted group rate of $155/night plus tax (currently at 13%). Reservations must be made on or before the cut-off date of Monday, October 16, 2017 in order to be eligible for the group rate. Please be aware that NEARC works on behalf of its constituents by negotiating favorable rates with the host hotel, and receives complimentary meeting space and other concessions because of our room block contract commitment with the hotel. A discounted registration rate is available to attendees staying at the Newport Marriott! To make a reservation, use the online reservation site, or call their reservations department at 1 (800) 228-9290 and mention the Northeast Arc Users Group rate.
