The Center for Land Use Education and Research (CLEAR) at UConn has two upcoming mapping workshops. Descriptions and dates are below. Please pass along to interested parties. Let me know if you have questions. Thanks!

 

Smartphone Field Data Collection, Friday, October 27, 2017 - This one day hands-on training covers two low cost mapping apps for iOS or Android devices. Track Kit allows users to collect GPS points and tracks as well as visual (photos) and audio content in the field. Epicollect5 is a form-based app that allows a user to create dynamic web forms and then download to devices for offline data collection. Data can be viewed, analyzed and exported from the Epicollect5 website. Both Track Kit data and Epicollect data can be visualized on desktop and web GIS platforms. $125

 

Introduction to GIS, December 6-8, 2017 -This three day hands-on training covers the basics of GIS. The workshop is taught using ArcGIS Desktop (10.5) with bits of web GIS thrown in. Meant for beginners or those who need a refresher. $400
