The Connecticut DEEP Marine Fisheries Division is currently looking for a qualified individual to fill a "Seasonal Resource Assistant" position working on GIS related projects.
This position is limited in duration and pays $11 - $14/hr (7hrs/day, 35hrs/wk) based on relevant experience. The selected candidate will start in mid to late November and work
for approximately 1,030 hours. Since this position is temporary, there would be no health benefits. The position is based out of DEEP Marine Headquarters in Old Lyme, CT, and employees would be expected to drive to Old Lyme each workday. Some scheduling flexibility
is possible.
The position will include but is not limited to:
assembling, analyzing, synthesizing, maintaining, updating, and mapping diverse data sets in support of fisheries research and monitoring. The selected candidate may be asked to work on multiple projects and may be asked to create maps
or map applications for the Agency website. The selected candidate will work under supervision, but will also be expected to work independently at times.
