eGIS Associates is assisting the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) in locating a GIS Programmer to fill a contract position. This position is located in scenic Chattanooga TN and has the potential for full-time hire after one year. US Citizenship is required. TVA was an earlier adopter of GIS. They have a robust and mature enterprise solution maintained by a team of GIS and IT professionals. The enterprise is built around Esri’s ArcGIS Platform. It includes Desktop, Server, Portal, Online, Web and Mobile applications. This position would be in TVA’s IT-GIS Support team which handles custom programming and back-end server support including system integrations. TVA is looking for someone with a minimum of 1-year experience developing and maintaining GIS web applications built around the ArcGIS Platform and the ArcGIS JavaScript API and Web AppBuilder. This person will be responsible for maintain and enhancing TVA’s existing web viewer application which was creating using Web AppBuilder as well as creating new web and desktop apps as requested. Desired knowledge areas include: - ArcGIS JavaScript API - asynchronous JavaScript development preferred - ArcGIS Online/Portal - Web AppBuilder - ArcGIS Server/Enterprise - ArcSDE with SQL Server - ArcObjects - Python (ArcPy) - GeoPortal - GeoEvent This is a contract position.
