APPLICANTS WANTED FOR GOVERNMENT POSITION There is an opening for a Senior GIS Specialist at the City of Ithaca. We are a 4 person team who specializes in the creation, and management of geographic data, applications, and solutions which make a difference for staff, officials and the public in the day to day operations of the City of Ithaca. The successful candidate will work with rich data sets including detailed municipal infrastructure layers, delivered on mobile and desktop platforms. The position includes advanced analysis and project management. The candidate has knowledge and experience in both the technical and administrative aspects of Government, Utility or other GIS as well as being effective working with others. In this position you will or may: Create and maintain GIS data sets for use in field or office Conduct analysis using GIS, imagery, LIDAR and other data Create and manage processes and procedures and train others Evaluate alternatives in technology and process Respond to and integrate the rapid evolution of spatial technology Configure web based applications and map viewers Assist the GIS Administrator in developing the GIS Program Deadline for application is September 7, 2018.
