DESCRIPTION
We are currently witnessing exponential growth of LiDAR acquisition, implementation of high-resolution national elevation mapping initiatives such as the USGS 3D Elevation Program, and emergence of new sensors and systems - all revolutionizing the adoption of point-cloud and other 3D Remote sensing data. As organizations globally plan to be more resilient, intelligent, and sustainable, this remote sensing data serves as the foundation for migrating from 2D to 3D GIS.

This workshop will cover the state of the market, demonstrate LiDAR classification best practices, derivative extraction, and methodologies for modeling Smart 3D City Models and environments from LiDAR using ArcGIS Pro. Then show how these models can be shared with your organization and constituents. The workshop also covers best practices for incorporating the generated LiDAR Derivatives in CityEngine for Planning and Urban Design.

These workshops are designed to be interactive. Attendees are required to bring their own device with ArcGIS Pro 2.2 and City Engine 2018 in order to participate in the hands-on activities. Yale members will receive a follow-up e-mail with installation instructions. Guests are required to fulfill installation on their own.

We hope you can join us!
