*The Jack and Laura Dangermond Preserve Conservation Information Manager
oversees GIS and technology projects related to the operations, management,
and research at the Preserve. Owned and protected by The Nature
Conservancy, the Jack and Laura Dangermond Preserve was made possible due
to the vision and generosity of Jack and Laura Dangermond, who in December
2017 donated $165 million to The Nature Conservancy—the single largest gift
in the history of the organization—to purchase this globally significant
natural area and protect it forever. The Nature Conservancy envisions a
future looking ‘smart preserve’ that leverages technology for ecological
management and research. The ideal candidate should be an expert user of
the Esri Desktop, mobile, and web GIS suite, has a solid understanding of
IoT principles, and have demonstrated ability in aggregating multiple data
streams for delivery and use by both TNC staff and the external research
community.*
