Hi, Pete,

I take it you are using version 10.7?

I’m wondering what they are looking for besides the existing “layered PDF” produced by ArcGIS? That can also be read by Illustrator. Or has that option also changed for the worse in 10.7?

A colleague posed the following question to me:

In earlier versions of ArcGIS, user could output layered map compositions to Adobe Illustrator, however AI is no longer an export option anymore.  With a goal of producing a page-size map, with layers of vector material (lines, polys, texts) above a 300-ppi raster shaded-relief base, how should the composition be output to produce a layered PDF?

Anyone have any thoughts?
