Good Afternoon,

The International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM) Region 1 will be partnering with FEMA Region 1 on a Crowdsourcing for Emergency Management Workshop in Burlington, MA on May 2nd. A good portion of the event will connect crowdsourcing resources to GIS tools and services to better utilize geospatial information before, during, and after disaster. GIS professionals involved with emergency management are welcome to attend.  I've attached the draft agenda with information on some of the sessions planned for the day.

Crowdsourcing is an emerging tool gaining traction across all emergency management sectors. Leveraging real-time information from the crowd brings many opportunities and challenges. This workshop will provide you with tools to implement a crowdsourcing program in your organization and will allow you to provide feedback to shape future guidance, training, and resources for emergency managers across the country.

Interested? Seating is limited. Please fill out the interest form (
https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/crowdworkshop) and, if selected, you will be sent a formal invite. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,

Justin
