At the March meeting of the CT GIS Network there was a fantastic talk by Art van Meeteren of the New England Institute of Technology, a drone education teacher, also of Traveler's. He spoke about a 4 course training program that NEIT offers which is more involved than what you're looking for but he might be able to give you some advice.
