The aircraft is in motion. The color effect is called "chromatic aberration." (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chromatic_aberration) - basically a camera lens fails to focus on all colors to the same convergence point.

A colleague of mine saw this on Google maps in the Darien area.  Anyone know what would cause this effect?   We have some theories but would to see what others think/know.
