Fall NEARC 2019 - Maine

 

Call for Abstracts | Deadline Extended to July 24, 2019

 

Thank you to everyone who has already submitted a presentation abstract for the 2019 Fall NEARC Conference. We know this is a busy time of year... Since there's room in the program for more presentations, we're offering a one time only extension to the deadline to submit presentation abstracts. All abstracts must be submitted online by the new deadline of Wednesday, July 24 at 11:59pm (Eastern Time).

 

If you have not yet submitted an abstract, this is your last chance! Abstracts are currently being accepted for the regular Fall NEARC Conference (Monday, October 21 - Wednesday, October 23) as well as the GIS Educators Day (Sunday, October 20).

Monday, October 21 is MEGUG Day at NEARC!

 

Members of the Maine GIS Users Group are invited to participate as presenters, attendees, and exhibitors at NEARC. Maine-focused presentations will be offered Monday, October 21, and members of MEGUG will hold their annual meeting during lunch. If you are a member in good standing, MEGUG will subsidize your registration fee by $100. MEGUG will make the discount code available to all members. Scholarships Available

 

​The NEARC Board of Directors has established a Scholarship Fund to provide a limited number of discounted registrations for applicants who demonstrate the need for financial assistance. Professionals and Students are welcome to apply. For more details, please refer to the NEARC Scholarship GuidelinesApplication Deadline: August 26, 2019; Applicants will be notified by September 6, 2019. Overnight Accommodations

 

The 2019 Fall NEARC Conference will be held at Sunday River Resort in Newry, Maine. 

 

Overnight accommodations are available to conference participants at Sunday River at a discounted group rate of $115/night plus tax. Reservations must be made by Friday, September 27 to receive the group rate. To make a reservation, call the Resort at 1-800-207-2365 and request a room in the Fall NEARC (Northeast Arc Users Group) Conference group block. 

 

A limited number of lower cost rooms ($91/night; below per diem) are available at an adjacent property on the resort campus. Please contact Leslie Pelch ([log in to unmask]) if you would like to reserve one!
