Final Call for Abstracts | Deadline: July 17, 2019

Presentation abstracts are currently being accepted for the regular Fall NEARC Conference (Monday, October 21 - Wednesday, October 23) as well as the GIS Educators Day (Sunday, October 20).

This is the FINAL REMINDER to submit abstracts before the deadline of Wednesday, July 17. The online submission site will close at 11:59pm (ET). This is a great opportunity to share your experience, expertise and knowledge with colleagues from around the Northeast!

Before submitting a proposal, read this information.

Presentation Format Options

·         30-minute oral presentations (Main Conference or Educators Day)

·         60-minute Educators Day Only oral presentations

·         90-minute hands-on workshops or panel discussions at the Main Conference

·         Posters (Main Conference or Educators Day)

Important Reminders:

·         Abstract submissions will only be accepted online.

·         All submissions must be received by the deadline of July 17, 2019 at 11:59pm.

·         The presentation must be product-neutral and cannot market specific products and/or services.

·         Presenters are required to register and pay to attend the conference at the applicable rates. A limited number of scholarships are available that presenters are eligible to apply for. See details below.

Scholarships Available

​The NEARC Board of Directors has established a Scholarship Fund to provide a limited number of discounted registrations for applicants who demonstrate the need for financial assistance. Professionals and Students are welcome to apply. For more details, please refer to the NEARC Scholarship Guidelines. Application Deadline: August 26, 2019; Applicants will be notified by September 6, 2019. Overnight Accommodations

The 2019 Fall NEARC Conference will be held at Sunday River Resort in Newry, Maine. 

Overnight accommodations are available to conference participants at Sunday River at a discounted group rate of $115/night plus tax. Reservations must be made by Friday, September 27 to receive the group rate. To make a reservation, call the Resort at 1-800-207-2365 and request a room in the Fall NEARC (Northeast Arc Users Group) Conference group block. 

A limited number of lower cost rooms ($91/night; below per diem) are available at an adjacent property on the resort campus. Please contact Leslie Pelch ([log in to unmask]) if you would like to reserve one!
