Good day,
We have some new data that I find exciting, and I hope you will too. For a long time NOAA Office for Coastal Management has produced 30-meter land cover through the Coastal-Change Analysis Program. Over the past few years we have been shifting to a 1-meter data stream. It takes a while to finalize these semi-automated high-res products (money, personnel, licensing, etc.), so in the meantime we're producing a 10-meter
beta product to help provide updated land cover data to our users.
The 10-meter data are derived from a licensed 1-meter, 6-class land cover product that has been re-sampled and tweaked to a 10-meter product with up to 15 categories of land cover. The links below provide access to the data and more information.
The data is not available everywhere, but we are expanding coverage as the 1-meter products become available. We are also working on rolling out the full 1-meter, ~22-class land cover too, but that will take more time and money (some states have already partnered with us to generate these data).
If you're interested in land cover data, please grab a sample and let me know what you think. If you have follow-up questions, I would be happy to talk with you about the data and how it can be used. I'll also be talking about these data at the upcoming NEARC conference, so please flag me down in Sunday River if you'd like to learn more.
