Dear all,

Today's speaker at the Analysis and Probability seminar is Alexander Sakhnovich from the University of Vienna. The tile of his talk is "Discrete and continuous Dirac systems and structured operators," and the abstract is below.

The talk will begin at 3:30PM in MONT 414. You can find information about future A/P talks here: http://calendar.uconn.edu/2019/month/11/376/.

Best,
Scott

Abstract: Both discrete and continuous Dirac-type systems play an important role in several domains of mathematics. Direct and inverse problems for these systems are closely connected with structured operators. Moreover, discrete Dirac systems may be considered as analogs and sometimes alternatives of the famous Szeg\"o recurrencies from the theory of orthogonal polynoimials. The talk is dedicated to Dirac systems and mentioned above interconnections.
