One additional point to add to Binod’s good advice…
We found was if there are multiple full resolution photos attached to each collection there can be issues when syncing many collection updates.
We have adjusted the photo resolution in the collector settings to medium resolution and have had no further sync problems.
The lower res images were still good enough to meet the needs of the collection efforts.

If you are syncing the data, it means you are using the offline mode of the collector app. Try to collect the data and syn when you are under a strong WiFi network rather than cellular.
Also, check if you have the updated version of the collector app.
These are the techniques that we usually use when we have the syn error. I hope it helps.

Syncing rules I live by:
- Must be a great WiFi connection
- Don’t do unplugged on a low battery
- Must be properly logged in to the correct AGOL account
- Clear your sent items periodically!!
- If doing a lot of attachments be extra careful of the above
- Can’t hurt to swipe up to close, restart and relogin before a big sync and if having problems
- Don’t update app between collection and sync
- Think like you are using PC ArcView 3.2a with segmentation violations…

Have students using Collector with iPhones and I've used it extensively with iPad. Only issue I've seen with syncing is when the system is trying to sync over a cellular connection. On field trips/fieldwork, I don't attempt sync until back where we are on a good WiFi network.
Just my 2 cents

HI Folks,
We have been using iPads with collector for few years. We haven’t had any specific issue with the Collector update but we have had issue with syncing if there is not enough memory available on the iPad itself. If there are a lot of downloaded maps and/or photos, it won’t sync.
Good luck,
Pam

Hello,
That is very interesting; CTDEEP is ramping up the use of mobile deployments of Survey123 and likely will be using Collector soon. While we aren’t using iPads, we will be using other tablet technology, has anyone had this issue on other tablet platforms along with iPads?
Thank you,

Hey everyone,
We updated the version of Collector and the OS on the iPADs we were running for a field project. Since then we have been having sync issues. When we try to sync, two things happen. Either the sync times out or the iPAD crashes but still seems to sync the data. If the Sync just times out a second attempt to sync works. Anyone else having similar issues?
