Dear international students and scholars,

Today ISSS learned that as of March 29, flights traveling to China will be severely restricted. Please see the announcement here: http://www.caac.gov.cn/en/XWZX/202003/t20200326_201748.html Many of you were planning to fly home to China in late March/early April, and your flight now may be affected. It is very important to check the status of your booked flight before traveling to the airport or making further arrangements for departure.

We know that this is a very stressful situation for students and scholars who are trying to get home, worldwide. If you had planned to travel home, and you need to stay here now, please notify ISSS. The easiest way to do this is by completing an updated: “Remote Learning-ISSS Check In” form, or you can always email [log in to unmask].

Students who live on-campus at Storrs who had NOT requested housing for the rest of spring semester, but now will need housing , must email [log in to unmask] as soon as possible to ask for approval to stay in your room. Tell them your name, your student ID number (7 digit Peoplesoft number) and explain that you had not planned to stay on campus, but due to flight cancellations you must now stay.

We want to remind ALL students of the following campus/community resources. Visit their website for information on remote services and schedule changes.

Dean of Students Office- Offering online/phone appointments. https://dos.uconn.edu/

The Graduate School - https://grad.uconn.edu/

*Scholars should contact their Primary Care Provider, or dial 211, if they do not have a Primary Care provider, if you have symptoms.*

Bias Incident Reporting – Students and scholars who experience incidents of racial or ethnic bias should report this to UConn  through the Bias Report form. Incidents reported through this form are reviewed by UConn staff who are involved with student safety and well-being.  Your report can be anonymous. https://dos.uconn.edu/bias-reporting/
