Hello Huskies!
UConn’s Office of Global Affairs is excited to announce an additional opportunity to help keep international students connected
as the semester comes to a close, called #UConnGlobalatHome.
Each week, students can sign-up to participate in a range of live virtual activities, such as dance lessons and cooking demonstrations, led by classmates and visiting scholars who are looking to share what being part of a global community at home means to
them. As well, international scholars will be available as mentors for those students who are looking for additional support during this time. Have fun, engage with others and discover a new talent in the safety of your home.
The first cultural demonstration will be held this
Wednesday, April 15 at 6:00PM EST. Bhangra is an Indian folk form of dance performed to rhythmic and high energy music hailing from the region of Punjab. Join
Sanjana Javeri, a UConn Alum and former captain of UConn's Award-Winning Husky Bhangra Dance Team, as she teaches you a modern bhangra dance that is sure to get your feet moving and blood pumping!
