Dear Students and Scholars,

We would like to remind all international students and scholars who remain in the U.S. that it is important to be aware of the services and information for citizens provided by your home country’s diplomatic representation in the United States.

The U.S. Department of State has provided the attached list of consulates/embassies in the U.S. who has specific information for their citizens abroad. Please refer to the attached document for contact details. In the document, EV stands for Exchange Visitor, or J-1 visa holder. However, the information can pertain to F-1 visa holders as well. The U.S. Department of State has specifically requested that UConn encourage exchange visitors from the countries listed in the attached document reach out to your diplomatic mission in the U.S.  We have sent you a separate email about this.

Even if your country is not on the attached list, we would advise you to visit the website or the official social media account for the embassy or diplomatic representation for your country in the United States, to see if there are any updates for citizens located in the United States.

Please be reminded, if you have not yet reported your location to ISSS, you must do so by completing the Remote Learning ISSS Check In form.
