Greetings NEARC Community--

1.  https://www.esri.com/arcgis-blog/products/arcgis-living-atlas/mapping/map-in-a-minute-map-a-fire-using-arcgis-living-atlas/

Make a current wildfire map in a minute using ArcGIS Living Atlas of the World using the above brief guidelines.   It is a grim but important reminder that geotechnologies are relevant to our everyday lives and also an example of what cloud-based GIS tools and data services can do.

2.  If you (or your colleagues in education in particular) would like to dig deeper into the power of mapping for instruction and research, this year’s Esri Education Summit is happening THIS WEEK!  It is online, free, and full of networking, technical sessions, and best practices for the use of the above and other tools in the classroom from primary to university to libraries, nature centers, and museums.  Join us!
