Hi Andrew,

QGIS itself is able to convert a shapefile to GeoJSON: just add the shapefile to an open QGIS project, and then export it in GeoJSON format.

If that's not available to you and if you're comfortable using command-line tools, I'd recommend ogr2ogr, part of the GDAL library: https://gdal.org/programs/ogr2ogr.html

If you'd prefer to use a web-based utility, https://mapshaper.org/ will do the job.

Hope this helps.
Best,
Ben

Hello all,

I have a QGIS PRJ file I need to post to a website - I've been told datawrapper is a good site for uploading maps and converting them into something that can is easy for users to interact with online, but they need a GEOJSON or TOPOJSON file. I tried to convert the files within the map into TOPOJSON, but no dice.

I was wondering if you had any tips or another website that didn't need TOPOJSON to create something that can be seen online by users.
