The upcoming Hackathon event that showcases the Vaquita Whale, the smallest whale in the world with populations that have dwindled to less that 20 remaining in the world.
The issue is attributed to illegal fishing in the Sea of Cortez harvesting the Totoaba, a fish killed for its swim bladder as a delicacy and ancient Chinese medicine.
Fishing with nets, the criminals kill all life in its path, including the Vaquita.
