This is being sent to the 4-H Fair, Middlesex & New Haven 4-H Distribution Lists: We are very excited to be able to hold an “in-person” awards event which will culminate the 2020 4-H YEAR! We look forward to seeing you on Saturday, December 12 between the hours of 1 and 3 pm at Allyn Brook Park in Durham. Directions are at the bottom of this email. Thanks go to the leaders who put in names of their active members to receive special recognition. In addition to recognizing 4-H members, both counties will be celebrating the many years of service performed by all our wonderful volunteers. Volunteer certificates and a special gift will be presented to volunteers attending. We are making goodie bags so need anyone who is coming to RSVP by return email so that we are sure to have enough.If you want to pick up for other people, let us know that in your email reply. Attached you will find the list of nominations for officers for the 2021 4-H Fair Association, along with the dates proposed for meetings and fair events. Please note that there are still 3 positions open – Dog Show Coordinator, Entertainment Coordinator and Coordinator of Livestock Pulls. If you are interested in any of these positions or know someone who might be, please let Emily or Peggy know. We are also still looking for a couple more volunteers to serve as officer mentors. You will need to vote for each officer and ratify the dates as presented. All enrolled 4-H members should print out this ballot, complete it and bring with you on Saturday or if you are not attending, you can return the ballot by email. To support our neighbors in need, we will also be collecting non-perishable food items. Items collected will be distributed locally by a couple of our volunteers. You can give your donations to the person presenting your car with awards and goodies. Please return this email no later than Thursday – hit reply all and Emily and Peggy will both get it. Entrance is off of Route 79 to the right about a mile up from the fairgrounds in Durham coming from the south and about .1 mile from Route 68 coming from the north on the left.
