I can second what Neil said. The Getting to Know books are good resources. I use the Getting to Know Web GIS for a course I teach at Jefferson University.

At Vassar we've been using the opposite approach, going with academic textbooks and other readings with mostly home-cooked exercises. When I taught at U. of New Haven though we used the "Getting to Know..." books for the intro class and that worked fine.

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone have any recommendation about a textbook for GIS/ArcGIS Pro. I have been developing the reading material and exercises for my classes given the amount of online information and articles, but I would love to hear other's experience with a textbook.

Thank you in advance,

marcia
