The MPO is advancing a transportation model roadmap that defines a suite of new models to be developed, adopted, and maintained, and that supports existing tools and applications. The Model Developer will work as part of a team of transportation planners and modelers to realize the roadmap. The Model Developer will be a key staff member working in the current roadmap phase to develop a new regionwide travel demand model in TransCAD with GIS-based input and output data and supporting utilities in Python and R. The Model Developer will adapt and develop new model scripts; conduct data preparation, analysis, and visualization; and contribute to user and developer documentation.
