NEARC UC Mappy Hour

On a normal year, NEARC enjoys an in person social in beautiful sunny San Diego. Hopefully we can be in person again next year, but for now, let’s meet up virtually!  We hope you get the opportunity to enjoy the conference this week, take a break from zoom, and then join us NEXT week, Thursday, July 22nd, 7:00 - 8:30pm, for our NEARC UC Mappy Hour. We will have a few games and breakout rooms to chat about the conference and new ideas.

Upcoming Hands-on Workshop

NEARC and ESRI are also teaming up to bring you even more NEARC Community Events! We are kicking off this ESRI Workshop series with an event on August 11th - 12-1pm.  In this lunchtime session ESRI content specialists will introduce you to ArcGIS Online’s new Map Viewer and “Instant Apps”.  This event extends beyond the traditional presentation to also include some guided hands-on map and app creation. Attendees will be encouraged to follow along to create their own map and instant app using their own local data or content from the Living Atlas.

Fall Conference call for Presentations

The 2021 Fall NEARC Conference will be held in person from Sunday, October 17th - Wednesday, October 20th at the Omni New Haven Hotel at Yale University in New Haven, CT.  Presentation proposals are being accepted for the regular Fall NEARC Conference (Monday, October 18th - Wednesday, October 20th) as well as the GIS Educators Day (Sunday, October 17th).  NEARC Conferences are not possiable without you! Please Submit a Presentation Abstract today.
