Description:
This position requires a broad range of knowledge, management, and technical skills to successfully sustain the existing enterprise-wide GIS within Indian River County while innovating and implementing new GIS services. The GIS Manager
has overall responsibility for ensuring that key GIS work elements – software, databases, and staff resources – are managed, maintained, and enhanced to meet agreed-upon County requirements. Under direction of the Information Technology Director, the GIS
Manager oversees all enterprise GIS operations, including GIS database management and administration, data development, GIS software selection, implementation and user support, GIS project management, budgeting and training.
