This is being sent to the 4-H Fair, New Haven & Middlesex Distribution Lists – below is information about our upcoming Achievement Night program. We are looking forward to seeing everyone and celebrating your achievements during the past year.

We are still hoping to fill some officer positions – Coordinators of:
1. Publicity
2.	Mechanical Pulls
3.	Livestock Pulls
4.	Entertainment
If any 4-H member is interested in taking on one of these leadership roles, please hit reply all to email Emily & Peggy

This year, we are going to start recognizing individuals who have been involved in some way with either the Middlesex or New Haven County 4-H Programs who have passed away. It is our plan to begin to annually honor people we have lost over the past year at County Achievement Night. To make sure we include everyone, please email us by 11/2/2021 the full name, date of birth-date of death and a brief description of their involvement to Peggy & Emily by hitting reply all.

In addition, our financial team are organizing an exploration committee to investigate potential sustainable fundraising ideas and is looking for ideas and is looking for input. Please contact Nathan Sandoval at [log in to unmask] (or hit reply all) if you are interested.

Re: 2019 Achievement Night/4-H Fair Annual Meeting

2021 Achievement Night/4-H Fair Annual Meeting
Friday, November 5, 2021
Coginchaug High School (just down the street from the fairgrounds in Durham)
135 Picket Lane, Durham, CT 06422
7:00 p.m.

Just a reminder that we will be holding our Annual Middlesex/New Haven County 4-H Fair Meeting and County Achievement Night on the above date. Region 13 administration has very nicely agreed to let us use their facilities again this year. We are responsible to follow all current Covid for both the University of CT and the State of CT which includes everyone being masked inside the building and keeping socially distance protocols. Households should sit together for the program.

Year-end of 4-H Fair awards and county recognition for both members and clubs will be presented at this time. 2021-2022 elected 4-H Fair officers and advisors ratified at the October 15, 2021 election meeting will be formally inducted. It is important that ALL Fair Officers and Advisors attend as we will be taking a formal group photo.

Those who are planning to help with set-up – please arrive around 6:00 p.m. Thank you to the members, volunteers and families of Pitchforks & Pencils 4-H Club for volunteering to help set up. We will need people to stay afterward and assist with the cleanup.

If we need to postpone this meeting (or any other during the year) due to weather issues, the decision will be made 4 hours prior to the event start time. Anyone having questions can call the Middlesex Extension Center (860-345-4511) or check a special message that will be left on Peggy’s voice mail - 203-407-3158.
