Dear International Huskies,

I’m writing with a few updates on our upcoming events.

1.       International Student Support Group

International Student Support Group meets tomorrow.  Sign up for the meeting here and we will email you the WebEx link to join. How are you doing? How is your semester going? Are you feeling a little stressed or anxious? Please join our International Student Support Group to connect. Student Health and Wellness and International Student and Scholar Services are offering a support group for UConn international students who reside in the U.S.  Our intention is to support international students by providing a safe and comfortable virtual space for them to discuss various concerns and to connect with each other.  This group meeting will be conducted through Webex every Thursday from November 18, 2021 to January 13, 2022 at 2pm for one hour (except November 25, December 23 and December 30).  Please spread the word and join us. 2.       Stay Informed Meeting is Canceled

Friday’s Stay Informed! International Student and Scholar Meeting will be canceled. ISSS will share important updates for students via our weekly emails.  Please continue to check your UConn email for important updates.

3.       Travel Signature Week at ISSS Storrs Campus

This is Travel Signature Week at the Storrs Campus While we urge that students and exchange visitors consider any international travel with great caution due to the ongoing pandemic, if you will travel abroad during winter break you should request your travel signature now. If you do not attend Storrs campus, check with your ISSS Advisor at your campus about a deadline for submitting your travel signature request for winter break travel.  Submit your Travel Information Record online and bring your most recent I-20 or DS-2019 form to ISSS by Friday, December 3 and your travel signature will be ready for you to pick up no later than December 10, 2021.

4.       ISSS Cookie Decorating Event is December 15, 2021

We are 2 weeks away from ISSS Cookie Decorating!  Sign up for this wonderful arts and crafts event. We will be decorating cookies, sharing stories, celebrating the end of finals and kicking off the winter break on December 15th, 3 - 4 PM in the ISSS Lounge!!  https://isss.uconn.edu/event-sign-up/
