Dear international students,
If you are graduating this semester and would like to work or train in the U.S. after graduation, now is the time to start preparing your application for post-completion work/training authorization.
If you are not graduating but would like to do a summer internship in the U.S., you should also be planning for your work or training authorization now too. Even unpaid internships require practical training authorization.
F-1 Students:
The first step to apply for authorization is to attend a required ISSS workshop on OPT or CPT. We offer the following workshops:
J-1 Students: J-1 exchange visitors in the student categories (Non-degree, Masters, Doctoral student) are eligible to apply for Academic Training to get internship or work
training in your field of study, before and after graduation. If you are interested in this benefit read more
here,
and make an appointment with your
ISSS advisor if you have questions or want to discuss your plans.
