Research Services Librarian (Librarian 1 or Librarian 2)

The UConn Library seeks a collaborative and proactive professional to serve as the Library’s digital geospatial data and data visualization expert. The Research Services Librarian works with campus and community partners to align the Library’s digital geospatial and open data resources and services with the research and teaching needs of the University, wider community, and the state of Connecticut. 

 

The Research Services Librarian connects UConn Library collections, services, and spaces to stakeholders in support of research, scholarship, teaching, and learning at UConn and in the state of Connecticut. Essential to success in the position is active engagement in ongoing outreach and communication with students and faculty and contributing to the advancement of the UConn Library through collaborating with colleagues, partnering with stakeholders, and engaging with Library-wide initiatives in support of life-transformative education.   

 

Along with all UConn Library personnel, the successful candidate will make a positive contribution to a culture of inclusion and respect in all interactions within the Library and across the University and will exemplify the UConn Library values of kindness and trust, curiosity and inquiry, equity and inclusion, and having fun. The Research Services Librarian reports to the Head of Research Services in the Academic Engagement area.

 

Appointment and Application Terms

This is a full-time position based in Storrs, Connecticut. The University offers a competitive salary, outstanding benefits, including employee and dependent tuition waivers at UConn and a highly desirable work environment. Salary and rank are dependent upon education, qualifications, and experience.
